In this, their fifth year, and the 202nd anniversary of the original Oktoberfest in Munich, Brisbane has already been nominated as one of the Top 10 Oktoberfest’s around the world. To celebrate, the y plan on making this year’s Oktoberfest the best one yet! Over two weekends in October, you’ll have the chance to sample the absolute finest in German food, to taste hand-crafted beers made from 200 year old recipes, to enjoy traditional music and entertainment, to learn more about Bavarian culture and history, and to generally get in on plenty of fun for the whole family....

Brisbane just keeps getting better and better!! ‘The James Street Food and Lifestyle Trail’ is on running from October 15 – 20 and there is an amazing showcase of food, fashion and lifestyle events.

Held in the heart of Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, this inaugural event will meld internationally acclaimed designers with world-class chefs over a series of intimate events, culminating in a large-scale festival with fresh food stalls, tasting stations and pop-up bars on Saturday October 20.

Explore China through cooking with ten weeks of cooking with six distinguished Chinese chefs across Australia, imparting years of culinary experience and insight. The program running from September to November includes Masterchef finalist and the face of ABC’s popular cooking program Poh’s Kitchen, Poh Ling Yeow as well as Head Chef of popular Chinese Sydney restaurant Merivale Lotus, Dan Hong.
