We were each given a petite little tray of the day’s ‘samplings’. In my happy wine guise, I walked about the sweet shop watching-on at the Makana chocolate makers and fellow wine tour friends. And then, without thought, I had popped the sweet morsel into my mouth. A party of flavours with Kate’s menu tonight! To start we enjoyed an entrée of Peppered Figs, a reciped adapted from George Calombaris’ Hellenic Kitchen Cookbook. A visual feast to behold, the peppered figs with its honey, spices and balsamic glaze went perfectly with the grilled haloumi. Alyssa Alyssa the quieter achiever. A fresh, colourful and tasty meal tonight. The roasted Beetroot soup not only tasted wonderful but the striking colour was so impressive. Haloumi and couscous now why haven’t I tried that! It tasted great and the pearl style couscous you used enhanced the presentation beautifully.
